About the website
Svampguiden is one of Sweden’s largest websites about mushrooms, with many visitors during the mushroom season. Most of the work is done on a voluntary basis, and operating costs are partly covered by advertisers and sponsors.
Svampguiden was launched in 1997 and is run by Michael Krikorev.
About me
I have long been fascinated by fungi and have been active in several mycological contexts since becoming a mushroom consultant in 1997. I currently work as a mycologist at SLU Artdatabanken and regularly give lectures and lead mushroom courses.
I have written and co-authored several books about mushrooms, including books for beginners and guides to edible mushrooms.
