OK, now I see the blue tinge on the stipe. Thus: C. collinitus. No honey odour.

Tack Karl,now i´ve learned my 2nd cortinarius,(first one is easy-Rimspindling).Hope to learn more. btw,does honungsspindelskivling smells honey? would be great to find one and compare. When checking my mushroom book,they looks alike to my eyes.Tack igen.

Forgot about bockspindling Irene A enlighted me a while ago. so i´ve learned 3 Cortinarius so far.(And there are over 2000 different species ?)Any other Cortinarius which are common and easy to learn? Tack

Yep, honungsspindling (C. integerrimus) (= C. stillatitius ss auct.) smells sweetish, especially if you cut it axially and sample the smell in the flesh of the base of the stipe.

It is easiest to differentiate from C. collinitus by its more dreary tints, the cap is not vividly orange but dull grey-yellow-brown, still very variable within these sombre hues.
